    SW Idaho Adventures

Just got back from our trip, so I'll have to watch this tonight.

    Why?

You're not the only 1st Gen 355 on here man. ;) I'm in agreement though, I don't really care what someone drives, as long as they're not a d-bag about things. The crowd I typically wheel with drives a pretty diverse array of vehicles. Me with my 1st gen Colly, an old Jeep Cherokee (think 70's...

Looking for some easy to get to dispersed camping sites in South Western Idaho

You make some excellent points. This is something I think I will do with the Mrs. I love the fact that we live in an area that's surrounded by so much wilderness.

Looking for some easy to get to dispersed camping sites in South Western Idaho

While I'm totally fine with this approach, with a 3 year old, I feel it would be best to have an idea where I'd like to go.

Looking for some easy to get to dispersed camping sites in South Western Idaho

As the title suggests, I'm looking for some recommendations for dispersed camping in south western Idaho, preferably within a couple hours drive of Boise/Nampa/Caldwell. Were starting to introduce my 3 year old to camping in a few weeks, and after that, are looking to go again. While...

    Cle Elum to Leavenworth routes

Man, this kinda makes me sorta miss WA. I grew up near Monroe, and would usually go to weenatchee at least a couple times per year. My dad was born in Leavenworth.

Welcome! I did the same about 6 years ago. Love it here. Make sure to check out craters of the moon. I've not made it out there yet, but plan to soon.

Seeking Recommendations - Virginia to Montana/Idaho Trip

There are some great trails in Southern Idaho if you make it to the Boise area. I'm sure other people know some great trails up north as well.

My wife and 3 year old daughter have just started going on day trips with me. They're loving it so far. How old are your kids, if you don't mind me asking?

Chevy Colorado / GMC Canyon capability

Did you sas yours? I'm leaning towards doing an sas swap, but don't have any Fabrication abilities. As far as those parts go, I actually could use the CVS, depending on price/shipping. I'd love to swap my 8" axle for the 8.6" from the v8, but don't really need to right now. BTW, that is one...

Would anyone be interested in doing a day trip? I've been up into the owyhees a few times, but would love to check out a few more areas. I'm also pretty new to off roading in general, and am definitely not comfortable going alone yet.

Chevy Colorado / GMC Canyon capability

The biggest issue with the 355 is ground clearance. On the last trip I did, I had to stop a couple of times to dig some rocks out from under the truck. I didn't have skids at the time, and a large rock managed to wedge itself between the transfer case and rear most cross member. On the same trip...
