I don't believe anybody has anything scheduled right now. A few of us did a run last weekend, but I'd be down for a rigs and coffee or something in a couple of weeks.
Nope. Works great as is! No issues whatsoever, and ran from day 1. I've actually been dailying it since I bought it to get a good feel for how it drives. Starting next week though, it's back to driving the colorado.
I'm not gonna lie, I was hoping you guys wouldn't find out until I brought it...
I grew up about 45 minutes ne of Seattle. My cousins lived in Wenatchee (about 30 minutes from Leavenworth), so we'd usually go out there several times a year. Though I've never personally wheeled out there, I'm sure there's tons of trails out there.
I just realized you're in Oregon (yeah, I'm observant....). If you ever make it out to Eastern Oregon, I'd love to meet up for some wheeling.
I'm just over the border in caldwell, Idaho.
Is there an sas kit for the 2nd gens? I know of 2 for the first gens, but haven't looked into it too much.
Looking good man! I'm doing the same with mine next weekend.
I think that's exactly it. I paid 5800 for mine, and while the 2nd gens have a bit more aftermarket support, there's still plenty of support for the first gens.
Looks good with that lift!
When I decided to pick up a dedicated adventuring vehicle, I was considering 4runners, 1st and 2nd gen xterras, xjs and early 2000s grand cherokees.
Jeeps are hard to find with lower milage and no rust. Not to mention jeep issues. 4runners were all super high...
Is it just me, or are a bunch of people jumping on the xterra bandwagon lately? I did the same thing recently (bought a low mileage 03). I just find it interesting that I'm seeing more X build threads pop up lately.
Good looking X, btw.
The group I wheel with all uses gmrs. We have CB's as well, but we've pretty much switched. I also use a baofeng, but I'm putting a 15w Midland in the new rig.
It should have been Amazon links.
Basically, it's just a TalentCell dc battery pack and a DC to 12v auto accessory plug, which you may or may not need, depending on the DC power supply you use for your cpap.
I've used this combo a couple of times. It works well if you turn off the heated hose, and the humidifier.
The first time I used it was in 20 Temps at night. It's cold on your face, but I got two full nights, and still had some juice in the battery afterwards.
Then you just need a DC...
As the op of this thread, I totally forgot to post WHY I made my most recent purchase...
I've been overlanding in a 2004 Colorado z71 for about two years now. While it's a great truck, I've decided that for my off roading needs, an suv is the best fit.
The plan is to set it up as a dedicated...
I wheeled a stock 2004 Colorado z71 for a few years, and managed to put it a few places it probably shouldn't have been. That being said, I bought an 03 Nissan Xterra that won't remain stock for very long.
