I'm hoping to get a JKUR soon, and the idea of a rack sounds great, but do racks like the Gavin and Gobi allow removal of the tops without having to pull the entire rack off? Part of wanting a Jeep for me is taking the top off on a whim.

They look pretty neat! It appears that they have nice heavy fame rails that fold back against the body instead of collapsing like some of the others I've seen. There are pros and cons for every design but I personally like this better than the ARB and similar.

Honestly, I thought it would be bitter sweet but in almost four years the most I ever did with it was pull the transmission and tear it down to find out it wasn't worth rebuilding. It had been backed in a shed since then and I hadn't had enough time to do anything to it. I'm relieved that is gone!
