camping and outdoor gear monthly subscription box?

Most of these subscriptions boxes are a gimmick. There was one good one that I saw, with quality gear.. but it was like $150 a month.

OB Pacific Northwest Trail Run - 2017 Edition

The WABDR goes right through Ellensburg, which would be a good trip down from Vancouver to hook up with you guys. All though I'm planning to hike the John Muir Trail in the month of August - If my permit doesn't get approved, I would be in.

I got about $500 off some Fox remote reservoir shocks from Northridge 4x4. Pretty happy with that.

    Dream Overland Trip

It'd have to be a month in Africa for me. All the wildlife, rich culture and great sights would be amazing to do in a Jeep. Dan, from the Road Chose Me is spending 2 years in Africa, as he had already done South America in his TJ.

    Roof rack for JKU

Personally, I don't like roof racks because they increase your height, COG and mostly look goofy on Jeeps. If I were to get one though, It would be the Rhino Rack Backbone. It's removable, and can use their Pioneer tray or platform.

    Sleeping bags.

You might also consider a quilt, but they can be pricey for good down. Alternatively, I sometimes use my mummy bag which is a 3/4 zip as a quilt and there is more than enough room (I'm 6'4 210 lbs). @John had a good suggestion too, can't go wrong with military surplus for the price.

And then it hit me... you could get the best of both worlds.

    Truck or Jeep?

Raul is biased.. Honestly though, Jeeps are great, but the solid front axle isn't really necessary for an overland rig. The 4Runner is a capable vehicle and has IFS, in fact it would probably go anywhere a Jeep would go and ride better on the road! If I was you, I'd keep the truck. You've...

Have you done, or know of anyone (besides Expedition Overland) who has run the Alexander Mackenzie trail?

    Airing down

Danger already said it, but... It's nice to be able to do other tasks while your tires air down, or even continue to drive. If the ARB style deflator is as fast as you make it out to be, it may be worth a try!
