Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
It really shouldn't have gone when it did. I thought it was a half shaft when it went but appears to be the diff. I took a bad line getting ready to climb up on an obstacle. Should have realigned to come more straight on, was an an angle with the driver tire climbing first while turned driver...
As cash9300 stated they are IFS and are torsion bar suspension like your S10 Blazer. I know a few people who have done solid axle swaps on them and I have considered it. I would prefer to build up the IFS though. I love being on the trail and told I can't do something with my IFS rig then watch...
Yeah, unfortunately it's not going to be cheap. Looking at doing similar to what a friend of mine did with her's. Did a custom drop basket and changed the diff to a Dana 44 center section. Currently even though I have the cast iron stronger diff for the H3s it's a small 7.5 so even with 4.10...

Being on the north side of Orlando your event would be maybe 2 hour drive for me so I would be interested in helping if possible. You could use my vehicle as well if you still needed another. Not a big public speaker but would do what I can to help.
No regrets with the Alpha either. I resisted for a long time doing any mods that were permanent even though I knew from the day I took delivery that I wasn't going to git rid of this rig. What I have done on my interior mods that require cutting or drilling is buy a replacement panel out of a...
