Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I really like the idea of an RTT but will hold off until I decide to get a trailer. On most of our trips we will stay in an area for a day to wheel the local forest or OHV park. If I had an RTT on top of my rig I would have to setup/pack up each day while with a ground tent I just have to...
Wonder if it works on squirrels as well. Have not had any issues as of yet but frequently will pull into my driveway to see one sitting on top of one of my tires. Don't know if they are getting into the engine compartment or not but don't want to find out the hard way. Since I primarily only...
Thanks I do appreciate it. Try to make every mod something that is actually beneficial and not just for show or going overboard. You have a great looking Colorado. I have always liked them and would definitely consider one for my next wheeling rig if something were to happen to my H3.
I had a great relationship with the Hummer dealership staff and they took care of so many things they shouldn't have. At the same time as the rack bracket (probably at around 12K miles) they also repaired one of my fenders under warranty which I ripped off on the trail. Definitely not a warranty...
That bracket is junk. I bent it pretty good on a wheeling trip to TN about 5 years ago. Didn't know it until leaving the off road park and got on the road. As the front end would raise or lower the alignment would change. Was an interesting drive back to FL but my dealer replace it under...
Welcome to the site. Apparently the Colorados have the same steering rack bracket issues we deal with in the H3. Had not heard of Mayhem Metal Works unit. I'm running the very similar unit from Outfitter Designs.
I originally went with those types of LEDs as well and when testing them found they got very hot. Decided to go with LED strips instead. Need to look up the wattage of the ones I bought, that could definitely be a factor.
It is a cheap simple mod that is handy. I would recommend buying some extra bungie cord though. Always comes in handy and the kit just didn't have enough for my need on this. That's why the ends aren't connected in the pic.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were tied up in a legal battle. What I found strange about the shipping dates was how different they were for two people checking within maybe a couple of hours of each other.
That is one thing I love about my truck, taking it all the places everyone with a solid axle say I can't go with IFS.
I run 35s with stock suspension (just lifted it) and locked front/rear, have pulled cable more than a few times. If you have never pulled cable you aren't pushing your truck...
I have looked at them before and they seem to be a great value. They even had the tumblers like Yeti, I love mine. Now that I have the fridge I don't really need on but thinking about maybe getting a medium size one to replace one of the coolers in the boat.
Bought my wife her '12 F150 SuperCrew 4X4 for Christmas '11. She absolutely loves it and I am very impressed with the ecoboost engine in these. Luckily for me she says she wants to keep it for at least 10 years.
