  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

    Rendezvous in the Ozarks

It's a neat place. Lots of rigs and friendly people. Many people there for the off-roading in the area. If you are looking for a half-way camp site Lake Chewalla near Holly Springs, Miss. was a good stopover. FS campground and was inexpensive. Not far off I-22.

    Rendezvous in the Ozarks

I went last year. They have several areas to set up. Up front coming in they have area for RV's. In the middle is the area for vendors and stage for gatherings. Down along the river is several large primitive areas where most of the rigs setup. Plenty of room I thought. I got there on Thursday...

    Roof Top Tent (RTT) Question

I've only had two and they were both Tuff Stuff. I upgraded to the ALPHA from the Ranger not long ago. I really think I'm going to enjoy the hardtop much better. Upgraded ladder, interior and exterior LEDs, skylight, much easier setup/takedown. Quality seems very good. Compare the materials...

    Living in Overland heaven.

I got married in Wyoming one time. But, I don't hold that against Wyoming anymore.:kissingheart: The fishing was great! I hope to get back maybe next year.

    E Mountain Bikes

Me neither, but I think I could find a use for it. More fishing spots! Think I may have to stick to a more mid-range setup to start.

Travel Buddy 12 Volt Portable Oven Install

I remember way back in the 80's as a poor lad out checking cotton in the hot sun all day and wrapping chicken breasts in foil and throwing it on the engine block by the manifold to cook. Don't have the exact timing but my recollection is that they were ready by lunch time. Those farmers never...

    Roof Top Tent (RTT) Questions

Well, I usually get the butler or the gardener to do it. Unless it's their day off. Then, I usually just wait. I really hate to make the cook or maids do it. Still need to supervise them some. :grinning:

    Roof Top Tent (RTT) Questions

:astonished: My semi-solution is a cheap chain hoist to lift it on and off. Still 20 minutes of un bolting and putting slings around it but is a one-person job. It's good if one has a garage with enough clearance...or a convenient limb?

    Roof Top Tent (RTT) Questions

:astonished: Shoot a few and word will get around!! I've been using a cheap battery operated motion detector that seems to work good within about 50 ft. Harbor Freight has them for about $15. Then you would have an idea where to aim!!

    Roof Top Tent (RTT) Questions

I have carried a 3-person backpacking tent I have used for storing stuff if the weather gets problematic. A lot lighter than the annex I never used.

Operative word...SEALABLE There are options for women...of which I have limited knowledge.

    Roof Top Tent (RTT) Questions

Batwings are neat but so far I've just been using a light siliconized tarp and some nice telescoping poles. Again, trying to keep the weight down. Need more room for fishing gear!! :grinning: I am working up for an extended tour somewhere. Probably the Rockies from south to north if things...

    Roof Top Tent (RTT) Questions

How difficult are the annexes to setup and take down? I had one with my last RTT and never used it. Since it's usually just me I didn't get one with my new RTT. I just don't stay in one place more than a day or two and it seemed more trouble than it was worth and more weight.. I see how it...

    Death of the “Coleman” Lantern?

I have several white gas and propane. I still use them occasionally just to make sure they are operational and for short trips that space isn't such an issue. I keep them mainly for backup if the power goes out for an extended period. Would rather have a few around than not at all. LED has...

MICE IN CABIN AIR FILTER AND INTERIOR OF TRUCK!

Eleven plus one in the cup?? You might want to check with Guinness World Records!! Surely that was a litter of new mice? I've had a few mice infestations under the hood before. They had to climb up the tires to get in, right? Maybe set traps before the climb in? Or, park on a containment of...
