  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

    Trail Security

Cheap, easy to find, and probably legal anywhere...wasp spray. The good kind that shootz 30 feet or so. Not sure how that compares to bear or pepper spray but certainly cheaper. I advise people all the time that if they are scared of firearms just keep a can on the seat for quick...

    Plans for the New Year

21 - 28 days depending on which vaccine is what I heard. Some side effects but better than the alternative. Masks don't bother me. I barely go in public places anyway. I always have to turn around and go back to the truck to get my mask when I go in the store. I think things will sort out a...

    Plans for the New Year

Do you think things will be looser if one can show they have been vaccinated? Optimistically, I hope to be by late Feb or early March...optomistically.

112 lbs is kinda heavy. Most I have seen are around half of that. 2kW battery is nice. Still need to be able to lift it though...and figure out how to carry it on my truck.

    Southeast to West

I was in N. Georgia back in October and the Ozarks last year and they were both very interesting overlanding destinations. Nothing to compare to the West of course, but lots of public lands and some nice hills. You're going to end up out there. I can tell! LOL!

Not so much about moving but about to retire and want to head to the rockies for some extended fishing. When the covid and the Spring weather allows may head to the Southern Rockies to start.

    Trail Security

Just heard a story from parent of young folks on a camping trip in N.C. They went for a hike and came back and everything was stolen. Tent, cookware, etc. Wonder if any insurance for theft on the trail? I don't leave my rig much and have the ability to lock up most everything but always...

What is your preferred shelter? (Rooftop Tent vs Ground Tent vs Etc...)

Might be able to change out the hubs and not the axle for a larger tire. Maybe.

    Next-generation of overlanders and adventures!

Sounds like my kid. He just turned 21 this week and he has been OUT THERE for a while now. He's into all types of hunting and fishing. He's not afraid to take a road trip alone or with a buddy. In high school he and a friend decided they needed to go to Arkansas to duck hunt, so they did...
