Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I recently wrote a short review on the Leitner Designs Active Cargo System. If desired I would be happy to expand the review a bit and submit it for the main page of overland bound... I love where this place is going and you can definitely sign me up to be a contributor. I will fill out the...
Thank you gents. I think I will follow your advice and build my own. I did find a wiring harness to the pair of lights but it just doesn't seem sturdy enough. My plan is to solder all connections and cover with heat shrink tubing. And to run split loom along the wiring harness for...
Are you looking for established campgrounds, or boondocking?
For established campgrounds, my all time favorite spot is Los Coyotes indian reservation campground. It's not cheap, at $25 a night, but the views and location can't be beat. They also have the cleanest porto potties I've ever...

So I got a wild hair and decided to mount some LED's I had sitting around to my Leitner rack with brackets I already had from Leitner designs. Their primary use will be camp lighting, I may eventually buy some yellow dust shields for them to turn them into dust lights for when I am in the...
I see no issue with using impact sockets on a ratchet.. You wouldn't want to use a non impact socket ion an impact because of the potential for breakage and injury..
I think it's just a matter of how much gear you carry and how many people are going. While I love the room my truck offers when our family of 4 goes camping, honestly most of the time it's just my oldest daughter and i, so I could easily get away with a Subaru wagon of some sort... But I can't...
I don't think you can go wrong with any of the major rtt manufacturers. I went with CVT because I knew people who had them and they all said positive things.. Not to mention they were having a 20% off sale so that helped too...
