Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Great rig! I like the fridge cage. I have been contemplating the arb transport cover for my fridge but haven't invested yet. Would you say it's worth the money?
I don't want to derail this gents thread much.. They are gear pods specifically built to attach to this rack.. To basically hold junk.. Like one has my recovery gear...
Its a hidden gem for sure. The lower campground has killer views of a huge open field and it's real quiet there. No assigned "campsites" per say... Pretty much just camp wherever you park. It definitely doesn't have that "campground" feel.
I'm biased because I own a diesel.. But the increased fuel economy, durability and just plain cool factor are all pluses in my book. When I can get more than double the fuel economy and range as my buddies similarly equipped truck that has a 5.7 hemi, it makes me smile.
I have buddies that use the 3 person tent and they can fit their 2 small boys plus the husband and wife but it is getting tighter to fit everyone up top now that the boys are getting older, so they too have started having the boys camp in the annex and it seems to work great for them.
I have not But I would totally be down for something like this.. Sounds like a great time. I think splitting the trip into two sections is probably a good idea in order to get a full appreciation of each mission.
Thanks.. Its coming along.. The bed rack is a Leitner Designs Active Cargo System. The company owner is a good friend of mine. I have to say it's a sweet rack setup and totally customizable.. Here's a review I did on it recently...
Trust me I know what you mean.. I did a week long trip to the grand canyon and overland expo west last year with my wife and 2 kids and we used every inch of this truck...
I will say this.. If you put a roof top tent on your rack you won't have any room for any extra gear up there, especially if you Get the mount Denali like I have.. Its got a rather large footprint.
