Rebelle Rally

My wife, Dawn, is planning to enter the Rebelle Rally in 2021. Is there anyone in the Overland Bound group that has done, or is doing the Rebelle Rally? Dawn plans to use our 71 Bronco for the event. We should have our new Bronco by the time of the event, but we are not sure that we will have time to get it properly equipped in time for the event.

I talked to some the ladies who competed last year at the BC Overland Rally -

• map and compass have it down pat
• Reading contour lines
• Relating map to ground
• Shooting bearings
• Triangulation
• distance estimation both via odometer and without
• time management (time to travel a said distance, completing tasks etc.

It really is about time and navigation.

Some other basic skills apply quick tire changes, basic mechanical and recovery skills - safe not quick on recovery.

From my conversation with those ladies it sounds a great event for those woman have the time and funds to attend

We just found out that entry is about $13k. Wow! I think we are gonna set the bar a little lower for the short term. Maybe are buddies at Ford will want to sponsor the wives for 2021 if they fair well in some other similar events :)

RAM won stock class with the REBEL and then won with the Powerwagon. They took last year off. This year they were to give the TRX to the factory team.

I love following along

A lot of hard work and dedication to be competitive at this.

This takes a very unique skill set and lots of knowledge.

I was hoping to root for your wife @ShortBus but that sure is a steep entrance fee

Shortbus has a First Gen Bronco...The 6th gen orders aren’t even being received yet. The order process starts next week. And first shipments will start around March/April. The Special Editions will most likely be hitting the streets in July.
