Installed mine on my rear quarter panel of my Jeep Unlimited. Fits nicely above my tire carrier! Just installed yesterday!
Finally found a location that I will see a lot and will stay clean & dry

I have the same problem. I have not settled on a spot yet either.Where did you 3rd gen Tacoma guys put yours? I have no idea where to put mine. I got two..

I was thinking where the limited sign is or the rear facing side of the tacoma sign on the doors. I dont want to put it on tailgate cause when i get my swing out you wont see it. Decisions decisions....

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I might go tailgate. The weather should be nice this weekend, hopefully I can get out and settle on a spot.
The toughest part was deciding on which side of the vehicle to put it on. Also, I didn’t measure, just eye balled it.

This is one consideration that does truly make me glad I moved away from northern Ohio, But now I kinda miss the winter some.
