Where did you install your OB emblem?

Looking at the Jeep pics here my first thought was it would look good to replace the trail rated badge. Low key until someone actually looked at it close :)
most likely where it's going to go. I have STILL to do it with all the rain we have had in NOLA the past couple of weeks I can't seem to find a window of opportunity to get this done :-( .

Anyone have a nissan pathfinder r51? I can't decide where I will put my emblem. I am a bit of a perfectionist, so this is a BIG decision!

How did you go about making this?
Excellent question! Most grill badge holders are a full inch larger and looks funky if you get one and then slap it on. But if you have $10ish bucks and a dremel.. you can make it!

I went up the local hardware store and picked up a flat generic knob with treads, two rubber washers, one metal washer, and a wing nut.

Dremeled down the back of the knob and made cuts to fit the FJ diamond pattern grill...had to make 4 cuts with a carbon blade and (not shown) trimmed the excess.

Test fitted the cuts to make sure it fits..

Roughed up the smooth surface to help the badge stick better and the knob wasn't a flat surface.. So I grinded it to be as flat as I could.

Test fit after grinding..

Attached it to the grill with a 2 inch flat metal washer (with rubber washer in front and behind the grill to prevent scratches on my limited edition trail teams black out grill!) and a wing nut.

And volla! Position and stick badge on your new and impromptu overland bound grill badge holder! (make sure to wipe down surface with rubbing alcohol to remove debris from grinding)

Let me know if you have any additional questions!

That's a very creative idea, do you mind if I try it out on my Silverado? I think it'd be a great place to mount the badge (once it comes in)
Go for it! PM me if you need any help or advice.

It's a very simple little, but satisfying project!
