I just picked her up in Colorado a couple of weeks ago. So on the 13 hour ride home we had plenty of time to get to know each other. First thing I asked her what her name was, she said her previous owner did not give her a name, at least as far as she knew. Then she said that sometimes when he showed her to someone new they would say, "Wow, she's Smokin Hot". So I asked if she thought her name might be Smoke. She said she didn't know, but she liked the name very much. So friends I would like to introduce you to the beautiful FJ named Smoke. Smoke, meet everybody.........

Chester, because I saw a street sign and thought that was a proper vehicle's name.
I finally came up with a name: Dublin.
In Gaelic, Dubh means, "dark" and Linn means "water" or "pond." It seems to fit.

My wife gave my jeep the name Big Swole, it has a 3 1/2" lift and 37" tires. I thought it fit, but I later found came across some rigs on 40" tires and made mine look small.
Our rigs name is Elsie, since she's Land Cruiser (LC!). Plus, it's a good ol' southern name.

i used to name my trucks with numbers. truck 1, truck 2, etc. that way i never got too attached to them when they died. i've had my fj (truck 4) for almost a year now and i feel it needs a real name. still trying to think up a gooder.
