So, far for me the best setup is my Dodge Pickup and my Alaskan pop up Camper! No problems with the wind, no problems putting the top down to travel when things are wet or frozen. Have a nice vented propane heater when cold. And a nice comfortable almost King size bed. With the camper top down it’s like a pickup with a canopy! Oh, best part was it cost my $3000. Vance.

Today I would probably choose the new Bronco badlands with the Sasquatch package and a few more bells and whistles along with either patriot camper trailer or a conquistador trailer behind it

Got my dream vehicle, a Hilux pick-up. . The issue now is a suitable light pop up camper and onboard systems.
So at the moment I have a buschtech canopy, a aux battery, fridge, solar and a couple of swags. So cold wheather I don't do so well.
At least in Europe most campers on the market are too big and heavy.
I saw some suitable designs in Australia and South Africa, not available here yet...
