What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

New small update with Gunner. Havent done much work lately because I had been planning on getting a GX460 in the next few months, but as life gets in the way we learn to go with the flow.

With my EcoFlow currently connected to my AuxBeam, I of course have to turn it on to charge. Well as it turns out, my ADHD brain almost always forgets to charge it so it has frequently just been dead when i want to use it. Well that ends yesterday.

Lots of people talk about DC/DC charging and whatnot, I'm a simple man and decided to do things the simple way. With the help of @Sparksalot , @Rav4_Overland and @DosTacos we came up with a system to charge when the ignition is on. So Yesterday I pulled out the old wiring and ran a new 10g wire to the back seat after I put in a 30A breaker and a relay under the hood. worked like a charm. now it charges anytime the key is on. WOOHOO. Thanks to @DosTacos yesterday for the help with the wiring and to @Sparksalot and @Rav4_Overland for tolerating us blowing up their phone before DosTacos and I realized we were in a group text!!!!!!! battery went from 0% to 17% just on the drive to work this morning.

Next up is to move my AuxBeam to the A-pillar so I can reach the tablet that all my mapping stuff is on and to fix the lines from the air compressor.

Went on a scouting trip to Red Canyon Park near Cañón City, Colorado. I was by myself in my stock Xterra S, so I didn’t get too crazy. The dirt road leading up to the trails and minimal facilities was well groomed and did not require 4 x 4. It might be different if the road is muddy. Will definitely be coming back this summer to camp.

Trying to figure out why my ABS is causing a code. Ever since snow wheeling it came on.
Took off the wheels and inspected, see no sort of issue. Sprayed brake cleaner in case it's dirty.

I can tell acceleration is in limp mode, drives fine on the highway, but feels weak when on the throttle.

I had the same problem with an ABS code after I rebuilt my front axle. For me it was a loose canon plug connection which caused the fault. Since you were in snow, check any physical connections for moisture.

Started with a new battery. The old one wasn't holding a charge and was 9 years old. I really like the Duracell's from Sam's Club.

Then I mounted the little 5lb Propane Bottle to the back gate, which is right next to the fold-down shelf, where I will cook.

Then I started on the "house power' project. I got the racks installed and the inverter mounted. I know its overkill, but I will have two, 100 ah Lithium's that are charged from the alternator. I have an electric frig/freezer, Diesel heater, electric blanket, Starlink, 24" TV and all the gadgets that have to be recharged every evening, so I don't want to be short of power.

I think I will have my FJ ready for its first adventure in about 3 weeks. Our first trip will be the Reefs in south, eastern Utah.

Rhino bag came today! I no longer have a calibrated eye, it’s bigger than expected. But with 2 hanging options, it will do well!!
My April trip can’t come fast enough…….

What size charger did you use for the house batteries?

Blew the fuse in my winch setup. Surprised as hell. Was trying to pull a tree off my neighbors drive and it was a little "bound". LMAO

I just noticed there's no ground wire here to the battery. Ahahahahhahahaha.
I really like that setup. How did you mount that in your F350 engine bay? Can you share a wider view of the pic. Please.

Completed the first stage of my rig (Lobo’s) lighting system! Baja Designs Squadron Sports and SAE S2s as ditch and fog lights, respectively. All tied together with an AuxBeam accessory control system. With a little help from the Etsy community, it turned out to be quite the clean install!!
