What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I really like that setup. How did you mount that in your F350 engine bay? Can you share a wider view of the pic. Please.
Not a lot of room for a pic. The panel has a flange that I screwed to the inner fender, and also on the left side to the battery tray. Right side is unsupported. It's a pain in the ass for sure. LOL
This is also where my 10ga starts for the run to the rear of the truck. It has the breaker on it.
I'll see if I can get a better pic.

Raced a Bronco Raptor with the BS last night and honestly, I thought it would be much faster. However, according to the interwebs, both have the same 0-60 times. :openmouth:

Installed new hood shocks, love them!
Transfercase oil change. 91k miles and the oil was still reddish, no metal on the drain plug either.
Rear brake pads, it was a pain to remove the caliper and the 2 pins were very very dirty and dry. Think it was seizing and resulting in lower MPG. Did a long drive after and definitely jumped back to 21 mpg.

Found out on the ecodiesel wranglers, it's a huge pain to remove the transfercase skid plates, didn't even bother as so much was bolted to it. Made a mess though.

The hood shock, now the hood pops up instead of having to use the hood latch.

Next week I'm doing the diff oils. Maybe the front brake pads, I'll have to check on them though.

Started the bug netting roll up curtain system. cut and installed the 1" metal strips that the magnets will snap to. Tomorrow I sew the magnets into the netting and see how it works!

MTF.. because i will never be finished as I keep thinking of things to add....

What size charger did you use for the house batteries?

This dude... It came highly recommended by multiple Overlanders in my locale. It is a 40 Amp. What's awesome about it is the multiple imputs it can take and the microprosser will manage all of it without any adjustments or switches, etc. So my main interest was the wiring up to the auto battery, being charged off the vehicles alternator. But I can still feed in the power from my solar panels.

Spent about three hours on the rig today.

First was to start wiring in the new 200Ah house battery. (Gonna have plenty of juice!)

Next was installing the tailgate shelves.

Then I removed the bottom seat cushions on the second row seats, so that the folded backs would lay flatter.

Finally, I installed the remote battery management panel, that ties in the the 2000 watt inverter with Cat5.

Removed the center section of the cargo basket I took off of the Collie and mounted it on the roof of the Bronco.

Also mounted the chase lights from the Collie in the rear window.

But most importantly Shock, the monkey, lives again!

Last night the Starlink Mini arrived with a very nice magnetic mount. It snapped hard to my roof top! Initially happy but time will tell.

This morning I started the day with a Venison steak/Egg and Cheese sandwich!! Then I scrubbed the 5th Wheel roof in between the rain sessions. Wish I had a before picture as it was black.....After a soap scrub, I went over it with a Dicor Deep Cleaning Rubber RV Roof Cleanser. I was amazed at how much more dirt came off on the second pass. Tomorrow, Roof Guard RV Roof UV Protectant.

Oh man that is funny. I haven’t thought of Peter Gabriel in decades.. actually forgot about that song and now I can’t get it out of my head…..

Talk about a squirrel moment: in an interview he referenced the King Kong vs Godzilla movie…

I need help…

Someday I would like to hear the story behind this little mascot. I visit your area every so often so don't be surprised if I show up at one of your rigs and coffee meetups. Family in Killeen
Some old song or something...

Yep, there is that. Still, there's a sordid story.

Oh boy. With the definition of sordid, maybe I don’t want to know…I’ll just leave it with the movie thoughts.

sordid: adjective
Morally degraded: synonym: base.
Dirty or filthy
Squalid or wretched.
