Water Purification System

I can definitely see the appeal. Saving that much space and weight would make a big difference on longer trips, especially when you're off the grid for a couple of weeks. If it works reliably, only having to carry one water jug would be a huge convenience.

Hey Everyone,

I have been looking for almost a year now for a system that I could mount to my rig that could pump and purify water from a water source like a lake, river or stream. I just recently came across the brand "Guzzle H20." (www.guzzleh2o.com) That have portable filtration systems. Has any one used them or have a similar system/set up that they like?

I do long trips where I am off the grid for up to two weeks and usually carry 3-4, 7gal water jugs. I would love to only need to carry one. I could use the less weight and added space.

Thanks
I’ve been looking into the same thing. Carrying several 7-gallon jugs takes up a lot of space and weight, so a reliable filtration setup would be a huge improvement.

I haven’t used Guzzle H2O, but I’d like to hear from anyone running one or a similar system on their rig. How has it held up on longer off-grid trips?

You should check out the Stream. It is overall much more suited to overland travel. It is smaller and lighter, about 10 lbs. Also the LED UV system is much more robust and durable than the fragile glass and quartz UV systems. It doesn't put out as high a flow rate, but the functionality more than makes up for it.

Check out the Stream

Also, it actually has the battery included in the case, so you can bring it to the waters edge and pump water into your camper tanks. Here is a good demonstration:

I have one; damned expensive, but it is portable, it is reliable, and it works. Customer service is over the top good.
