Yup - that's that. I blew up my engine.

The other day while traveling up to Cow Mountain OHV to do some trail maintenance, my engine quit. Long story short...it was the head gasket, and a rod knock, and a warped head, and...



So I took the Rig to @Cam_Cam_Tech at Top Shop Auto (they do all my repairs and Cam is a long time OLB Member) for the diagnosis. I could replace the head gasket, and do a full tear down and diagnostic - but the tear down and diagnostic costs money...

Another Overland Bound Member @fj80cruiserlife said, "Hey Brother, I think I might know the whereabouts and general location of a brand new FZJ80 short block at a good price"...

I did the math...

So today I bought a brand new short block for the Overland Bound rig, and Cam is going to put it together.

That thing is a tank. It's probably seen more action than alot of trucks. I am glad you are giving him a new heart and keeping him around. (I assume its a he)

Built, driven, fueled, and resurrected by OB love, best wishes, thoughts and prayers. Hope everything goes well and can't wait to see her back on the road soon.

Coincidentally I live fairly close to Top Shop Auto. Are you local to the area? Next time I need some work done that I don't want to (or can't) do at home I think I'll check them out.
