Hi OB crúe,
lame question but i've been searching several forums and youtube but haven't been able to find anything.
Wavian gas can = good
that damn spout......i don't trust it to stay when i have my cans on the roof. I've tried bungees to keep them holstered but i don't trust it. So my next thought is to have a canvas bag i keep them in and have that on the roof. I don't want to put them in the vehicle or in any of my roof storage boxes.........why?....well because they smell of fuel.

Any clever ways people are securing the Spout to their rigs?

that is a good question...
I put my spout in the toolbox, but after use, the spout stinks and will drip gas for a while and makes everything in the box smell like gas. after several years, I still don't have a solution I really like. guess maybe put it in a Ziploc bag? probably would get holes in the bag getting bounced with sharp edges tools. I thought about getting a short piece of PVC pipe the spout would fit in and cap the ends...but then where to store that?

funny...thought I was the only one with wavian spout issues!

EXACTLY! So annoying and gas smell is a PITA to get rid of. appreciate your reply.

after more searching i found this large pouch which i'm going to test out.

overall their products look really well build

If I may interject an opinion! What about a schedule 40 pvc pipe with end caps? Or better yet… a locking one??? there are also RV sewer hose that are easily cut to length that have twist on end caps..

Our Last US Bag tire trashbag has a mesh pocket under the top flap that works great, although we no longer use, but still carry nozzle since we purchased a jiggle (shaker) siphon hose. Now we transfer fuel from the can to the tank without having to remove it. much faster, no spills or heavy lifting (as long as the can is a bit higher than the tank inlet). For the price, still not happy with how quickly the finish on the Wavian faded and started to rust....
