Robert OB 33/48 Rigs

Hello folks,

At last, the door is in. All is fine now.
Stage 2 is already in progress, but Stage 1 is now officially ended.
I really love this trailer

Still so much to do. lets do it then.

Hello folks,

Here again some updates about the trailer. It starts to look as it should be.

20543648_1302927066499608_5334733768990829797_o.jpg

And this needs some organizing
20414043_1302926999832948_4557052533154760668_o.jpg

That will come in the following week. Still need to buy some extra stuff.
More updates to come.

I tested the trailer again for three days.
A little driving and lots of camping. It did its job.
Just need to adjust some little parts. All good.
Here some pictures from these days.

The departing angle of the trailer is very good. So, that is something Iam very pleased with it.

Where did you go (I guess germany?:P) ? Some amazing scenery! And that trailer can handle some sweet angle! I wonder how much more that trailer (ball) joint can have?

De Veluwe. Radio Kootwijk.
The netherlands is way more beautiful as many people think. If you know your places and lanes.

Well, like I said, come and join. Who cares what you drive, we pull you through.
And have some fun on the way.

Not every dirt road, a lot yes, but there are some spots. Its very beautiful there.
But for the better stuff you need to be in Brabant, Drenthe, Gelderland and Overijssel.

Yea, I need to find some roads some time, I even live in Brabant.. xD Though still a lot I want to get before taking the rig off road.. a good tow strap for 1.. don't wanna get stuck and not being able to get out.. would love some maxtrax as well but they are damn expensive!

dont wait till you have everything, just go and you will get the things in time. Just dont go alone.

Still an awesome setup, didn't really think the colours would work out as perfect but they do!

And yea, not going out alone, I know that rule ;) just have to see when and with who I go out. And I won't wait till I got all things but a basic recovery strap and a shovel might be wise :P don't soly want to rely on others.

So again, after some days I have made some updates.
Here are the results of them
after the days out, I needed some extra support so the flex would be out of the end of the trailer.
20545509_1308399189285729_182266296113888356_o.jpg

And we decided we need a dedicated place for our food supply. So a lockable storage is needed.
20627062_1308399185952396_5405236955036693565_o.jpg

And our lights need a place to stay during driving
20627045_1309315699194078_944396653740048795_o.jpg

Then we sprayed the trailer once more and started to put up the stickers.
20728970_1311077695684545_4328689382112010701_o.jpg

Then I raised the trailer for 1 inch and mounted shocks on it.
20689746_1311077705684544_4132814040778211522_o.jpg

More stickers
20690045_1311229489002699_2710628482271209217_o.jpg

And you can see that the trailer is raised.

Good, well, next there will be some interior upgrades.
More to come before this weekend.

Really great build you have going here.
What was used to bond the sheeting to the foam?
Also what material did you use to cover the corners/edges?

The company that build the box used a vacuum table to prosuce the sandwich panels. No clue what kind of glue they use. I think Sika, but that is a wild guess.
The corners are covered by polyester "corners" and in the back under there are two alu strips.

And more details are coming to "life".
This is the cabinet to store the Coleman stove and the Water jerrycan.

Hello folks,

Just two weeks before we are going to Morocco and I have a challenge.
This stock Jeep Liberty has replaced the Frontera.
So now I have to make it at least Travel ready within the next two weeks.
20915152_1323712741087707_9111028763055126726_n.jpg

It is a V6 3.7 ltr engine and I hope it will last as long as the Frontera.
So, I guess I will post here loads of changes within the next 10 days.

You can do it Robert! :D

Can't wait to see this once it get a more defined overland look, I might even use some idea on my own rig.
