It looks like during the site upgrade that the Rally Point invite for this month got screwy. It currently says Sept. We will be meeting this weekend. Sorry for the confusion. Hopefully they finishing the upgrade here soon.
Heads up. Rally Point is not working for me atm. We will still meet next month on the 13th. Normal time 1-3PM. I'll create the Rally Point as soon as the site will let me.

New to the group, but I can't make it this weekend as I have a previous engagement. That said, does this ever move around to different locations? Pleasanton is not particularly close to the North Bay, etc.

As far as I know it’s always in the same place, I make an effort to come to as many as I can and I know there are others that trek out from the South Bay and Peninsula as well.
I only have the meetup set for Dublin/Pleasanton. The reason being that I know there is plenty of parking at our current spot and there is a bevy for food/drink choices too. I'm open to suggestions. As far as I'm aware, there isn't a North Bay meetup. Just this one and the Half Moon Bay meetup.
Change of plans. Looks like most of the Sierras is still shutdown. I plan on heading up to Mendocino National Forest, near the Elk Creek area. If anyone wants to join me, come to the meetup ready to go, I'm headed there right after.
Apologies, but at this time I will be postponing all future events in this series. The turnouts have dwindled considerably each month and at this past weekend's meet up, only 3 people showed up. I will likely create a new meet and greet that occurs quarterly, thats TBD. Once I've decided how to proceed I will update everyone. Until then, I am taking suggestions on meet up points as I'm sure meeting in a parking lot in Dublin is no fun.
Also, I will be planning a 3-4 day trip either in late May or June, and will either be in Mendocino or the Sierras, keep your eyes open.

Bummer...I haven’t been to one yet been wanting to go but always seems like there was a conflict. A couple thoughts....
1) love the idea of east bay meetup. We should try monthly. There is one in Orange County down South that is pretty successful...why? See next thought
2) I would be happy to support you on organizing and preparing programs. The OC group does training, workshops, and forums to share ideas. My apologies if you are already doing this. One idea is teaching a class on navigation. I taught a class a few years ago at overland expo about trip planning and navigation using gaia GPS. We can do HAM training. I am HAM and can solicit a local club for training. Anyways....just ideas.
3) co founded a off-road club down south. Moved to the bay a few years ago. I am desperate to connect with some guys and start wheeling. As much as I love my wife and kids, nothing beats wheeling with the guys.
So my final thought....if I’m available I love the the idea of a Sierra trip. Haven’t explored the westerns sierras and need to.

Off-Road Ranger I
My event organizing days are well behind me but a very cool event would be a HAM training at the top of Mount Diablo. (There is a large overflow lot just before the top). I am a beginner at best so it would be cool to get pointers and then try stuff out. The simplex range from there is great and would allow people from 360 degrees around the mountain that could not make it up to participate on the other end and from quite a distance. Just a thought.
Also, a bit of coordination between the East Bay and HMB meets would be good. They both fell on this past weekend and I choose the other to make a bit of a day out of it.
My hats off to everyone that takes the reins. Event organizing can be frustrate at times as well as thankless. Thanks for the efforts.
