Haha! Thank you, I'm looking forward to spring so I can get out and camp more and do more videos. Also planning some awesome goodies for the truck in the next coming months! *cough roof top tent cough*

Started to spend some of my graduation money... FINALLY picked up an air compressor, I went with the Superflow MV-50. Also got a CB, I got the Midland 75-822 Handheld. I will be adding a 4ft Firestik to increase range but like the size of the handheld unitFile Dec 23, 12 06 35 PM.jpeg

Installed the CB last night, the 4ft antenna looks a little too big so I ordered a shorter one. Also put in a new battery since I have owned the truck 3 years and it looked like the original one.File Dec 30, 11 27 21 AM.jpeg Photo Dec 29, 4 57 44 PM.jpg Photo Dec 29, 3 24 01 PM.jpg

You may wanna tune it first before you decide on switching lengths.
On my jeep i wanted a 3 footer but ended up having to go 4 foot because I couldn't get my numbers below 3 with the 3 footer.

Great rig! Happy to see another full-size truck owner here to get some ideas from. Ditto on the tuning of the antenna as timberwolf mentioned, snag an SWR meter (pretty cheap) to get the best performance and keep your CB lasting a while.

Luckily @O.Dfj has one and is gunna help me tune it on our run. If there is a real difference in performance between the two then I'll keep the 4 footer but I'd rather have the 3 footer.

New member here. I just picked up a bone stock '14 Ram Big Horn 4X4. My truck has to wear a lot of different hats, but I'd like it to serve as a weekend overlanding rig. Your build is giving me a lot of inspiration. I was going to start by leveling the truck with bilstien 5100's just because they are an affordable way to make room for bigger tires. It sounded like you used to run them before your Fox setup. How did you like them?

Awesome, welcome! The Bilsteins are great, they are a little stiffer than the OEM ones. All dodges have problems with ball joints so either add some new upper control arms when you lift it or monitor them because they like to separate when they are out of the stock geometry.

Mountain.mike welcome to the forum and nice seeing another 4th gen. I currently have the 5100s and have them set at 2.8 my bro in law still has stock shocks and going over whoops or bumps he will be on the bumpstops and the bils just soak them up. Def worth the money for them

Went with a bunch of members up to Moon Rocks and played around. First time really wheeling the truck on anything other than logging roads and man was it a trip.
