I wanted to get a different nav set up so I found a first gen nexus 7 on eBay for $25 dollars so I bought it and a cd mount to use as my nav/music player because I didn't want to use my phone. It all came in today and works perfectly! (And yes that is my emblem still in the wrapper. I'm still debating where I want to place it)

I think you said you used Maps.me(?) for navigation. How is it? Is it pretty detailed or basic for off-roading?

Yea, Its pretty basic. I map everything on google maps and then download it to the tablet, I think it has the option for topo maps but I cant remember.

Finally put the t-case skid on. Not sure how much protection it'll provide but I'm not a rock crawler so I am just using it as cheap insurance.

Some Fu#k - Head busted my window to steal my dates purse tonight. Looks like I get to find a way to pay for a new window. 14310410_10154517913279634_7521387889443423633_o.jpg

Sorry for the absence, I've been crazy busy with school and trying to graduate and figuring out my next step in life! I was FINALLY able to get out for the weekend after 3 long months. Some updates: 1) I got some new gear to add to base camp and am loving the set up. I got a 0 degree sleeping bag, the smittybilt universal awning, and some new lanterns. 2) The truck is almost paid off! only one more payment and she will officially be mine. The next step of the build (once my tax return comes in and maybe some graduation money) is to add a RTT over the bed since I will be moving to Nevada mid December. I also am gunna get a CB setup and a front mounted hitch so I can add a winch. I was gunna go with a winch bumper but they are just so expensive and pretty ugly.

But anyway, Here are the photos from this weekends trip!

Excellent pics!
As for winch look for a power wagon mount it puts the winch behind the bumper and out of the way.

That's originally what I wanted to do but not only are the frame rails different between the PW and 1500 but then I have no recovery point because the factory tow hooks (which I don't have) is a bar that spans the gap with hooks on it. Also there's no where to mount the fair lead to.
