Let me know if this photo is visible? I'm using my phone right now and don't have access to my photobucket account. View attachment 16889

Uniden scanner
Cheap sunglasses

Custom keytag thing hanging form the mirror

And my mascot, Mike the moose.

Are you a former Viper driver?

I was at the Weapons School in 86.

Love the Moose!

Just curious--why do you need Apple Carplay and an iPad at the same time?

Gotcha. No iPhone, I guess. I ask because I replaced my factory radio with an aftermarket unit to get the iPad out of my line of sight.

with CarPlay you can hide the Apple device and use the headunit for nav, music, email, and web, along with a lot more

I think we are in violent agreement! That's why I did it and why I'm surprised you still have the iPad mounted in such a way.

I posted earlier (#'s 55 & 56) and I've since added a couple of action camera mounts to my Jeep LJ. It was fairly straight forward to fabricate a bracket for each side of the dashboard and mount them using existing dash hardware. I used RAM mounts. The cameras can be taken off quickly and mounted to our kayaks and bikes.

Is that a 2018 Apple iPad Pro?

I'm about to get one, myself. Happy with it for an in-car tech solution? What case is that? Thanks.
It is a 11-inch iPad Pro with the otter box case on it (got it last month, so I don't know the year per-say). I haven't had it long, I'm still tinkering with the mount and how I want it face. So far it works great.

Thanks for replying. I'm currently using a 6th-gen (circa 2016) Amazon Kindle Fire HD8. It works, but it's not great for this use case; it's just what I had on-hand. And, while I have nothing against Android, I am well entrenched in Apple's ecosystem, so I am excited for the new iPad. Mounting it might be a challenge for me, too, though. I'm thinking I'll bite the bullet and invest in some RAM mounts.
