Off the Grid II - Venue

We'd like to get your feedback on the location for Off the Grid II!

Last year worked great for a number of reasons:

• Easy access
• Running water
• Moderate trails

But, venturing out is an option too! We could do Sequoia or a number of other locations.

I'm not really to familiar with the areas but how about Lassen national forest or Mendocino national Forrest?

My thought is...the Bald Mountain site (Edison) is so good for a "Rally". Good campsites...good camp hosts... central camp...various trails... a Napa within a half hour ;)

Other sites, like your Alabama Hills trip, may be good for "meetups".

Any idea on tentative dates? We missed the one last fall and were really disappointed that we couldn't make it. Would love to join this year - hopefully sometime in October?
