Hello OB people,
We are two friends from the Netherlands. And live near Groningen. We bought our Landrover Discovery 2 six months ago. To convert this to an overland vehicle.
We are planning a large trip from the Netherlands to Mongolia.

Great to hear that the community also lives in Mid Europe!!!

Hi Laurens!

Thank you!
We are good friends. But love some space. We are planning to leave for half a year so we both wanted our own space to sleep.

Thanks we keep u guys updated! ;)

Groet!

Hey,

Haha, yeah i get that :-p .. privacy is a luxury when camping (overlanding) ;) .
Could've fit a lot of gear, but the inside looks very organized.

Have fun ;)

Yes, that was a choice we had to make. Fortunately a lot of storage space on the inside.
By making a large roof rack ourselves, we had room to attach two roof tents to it.

Sound very good.About tents ...by the dutch brand tembo 4x4 you get a tent 190cm.The tent itself is split in 2 so everyone has his priv space.
I wish you all best for your project.

Eezi Awn has this as well in 200cm and Howling Moon even in 220 but I don't know if the latter still exists

Denk je dat er teveel gewicht op het dak komt? Lijkt ons ook leuk eens te
meeten. We vertrekken 04-04-2020 dus daar is nog wel genoeg tijd voor.

So I am driving finally and tweaking the toyo als we speak. I am planning to make it an overlanders so that build is going to start soon!
I am loving all the info here to learn and also love to share tips and trics by me of rebuilding a old rig.

Hello All - New member posting to introduce myself in the Mid Europe section (I've already said hello in the main forum)

I'm John, an Englishman living in Luxembourg. I do a little bit of off-roading / overlanding in Europe as and when I get the chance. usually Spanish Pyrenees, France as well as camping, roadbooks and get-togethers with friends from Luxembourg, UK, Netherlands, Belgium etc
My vehicle is a Land Rover Discovery 4 (picked up an ex-LR Experience vehicle from Germany so luckily a lot of non-standard extras were TüV approved) but of course there is always something more to add....
Also have a fully kitted out Discovery 3 which my middle son has "commandeered" and is driving me to bankruptcy..(the vehicle, not the son :tearsofjoy: )

Hoping to get ideas and advice on overlanding routes and places to go as I look to travel further afield. Also hope I can contribute in some way as well and join any member meets.

(I think I recognise a few user names here from other forums)

Cheers,
John
