I have done the Mojave on New Years weekend and the weather was perfect IMO. Camped at Mid Hills campground on New Year's Eve and woke in the morning to 3 inches of snow, which melted as soon as the sun came out.

Wow that beat my ice storm year before last. Last year it was averaging high 70's in the day and low 40's at night. No wind and we got a full moon right overhead at midnight.
Ill be going again after Christmas. Most likely 4-5 days coming home on the 1st or 2nd.
