This was sent to me by fellow overlanders at SoCalXterra club (SCCX) and TheNewX.org. Apparently, somebody took it upon themselves to fill in the river crossing with truckloads or rock and gravel without approval of the BLM! What used to be a 3'ft deep water crossing is now 3" inches deep. This, of course, destroys the eco-system further down stream, for miles, that depended on that water flow for survival.

Wow, thats crazy. Sounds like they were hinting they think it was the construction workers. Probably so they can get their equipment across without really doing damage.

We talked with the contractor in October who said the railroad filled it in.

Most corporations and ranchers believe they have unregulated access to BLM lands, and that we the public trespass thereon.
