Hey everyone,

I’m Paul from Rhode Island. I drive a 2010 Jeep JKU Sahara. Originally started building it up for crawling and mud, but have come to realize the fiancé and I prefer longer distance travel while avoiding the main roads. Starting off slow with the traditional type of camping gear, minimal recovery gear, and plan on doing the Maine loop that goes to the abandoned trains and the B-52 crash site in about a month. Open to any pointers people have and other routes in the New England area. Look forward to reading about everyone’s experiences and sharing our own. Also if anyone has any pointers on equipment and techniques for filming your adventures that would be a big help. We have a DSLR and i would love to be able to document our trips to share them.
@Paul91789 Welcome to OB. As @Hank Outdoors mention, I might can answer some question. Feel free to reach out if you need help. I'm in MA, just a hop from RI.

Hi Guys,
I am a new member. I would like to introduce myself.
I am a Belgian. I am currently building my new car in Cape Town, South Africa.
I will be traveling around Africa for a year, then six months in South America and finally six months in Central Asia.
Actually, I have no real plan. I will just go with the flow and see where it leads me.

My goal is to get tips from overlanders who have done what I am about to do. If you know an amazing camp, fantastic scenery or a place to avoid, please let me know.
I am also happy to drive along with anyone friendly for a few days or a week.

My rig: 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser 79
Current location: Cape Town, South Africa
Experience: Experienced

Hey y'all
I'm from Hampton Roads Virginia. I've got absolutely ZERO experience with overlanding, I just like camping and working on older cars, so I figured I'd combine the two! I'm currently building an '85 CJ-7 and I'm trying to get her ready for her maiden voyage in July!
Welcome from the DMV / Northern VA!!!

New member from West Phoenix. Been a while since the wife and I have been off road. Recently bought a newer Jeep Cherokee, our 7th Jeep overall, but its still been a while since we owned our last one. Looking forward to getting back off road and doing some camping. Nothing hardcore, just getting out to the desert and away from the city every now and then.

Hi all. New member here from Cincinnati, Ohio area. I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500. Love camping and love all of the overland content. Have done some minimal mods and additions to the Silverado: Leveling kit, BFG K02s, tinting, and bed cover. Looking forward to further mods!
Just curious - What leveling kit did you go with and how is it holding up off-road? Thanks!
