I'm in Lubbock. There is a non OB run going down w/High Plains Overlanders on the weekdn of the 22nd (Claude, TX to Caprock Canyon SP).
Let me know if you ever want to hit some trails.
 
Looks like there is a few of us out here. I haven’t actually joined as a member yet. I plan to shortly. Are there any get togethers around here? Where are you guys overlanding? New Mexico? Colorado? Any cool places I need to know about?

Back in the beginning of September we had a little meet up in Odessa meet a couple people one from Lubbock and several from the Odessa/Midland, but nothing since.
 
Me and my wife we go to Colorado and northern New Mexico & went to Cloudcroft NM. We’ve were “feeling”out our new Jeep and trying figure out which way is the best way to load it out.
 
Eventually I'd like to get out there, just to see how painful offroading is on Ford's stock tires. 265/60r18 goodyear wrangler.

Any ideas for quick trails near Lubbock?

Stock on all driving/suspension equipment except for potentially a leveling kit put on by prior owners. (haven't confirmed it yet).

I would figure as long as you stay on at least dirt roads you should have no problem. My daughter & son-in-law follow us and his is a stock ram1500 only this he’s done is put lil bit more aggressive tires on but they are stock size.

There is a FB group called high plains overlanders. We do a few runs here & there mixed with a few meet & greets.

If anyone is intersted in starting a meet-up just message me here on the forum and Ill send some information on how to do a new meet-up and keep it going. @Kent R
