• Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Putting my little Land Rover to the cross axles test

Need to find the correct transition point to try a cross axle recovery. Not as easy as you might think to locate. I have a winch, a rear G-80 locker (ltd slip), no traction control, or multi terrain option. So for me it would be recovery boards or rocks, or the G-80 engaging for needed traction. My truck being a 3/4 ton, it will not flex that much. It would spark my interest on how well it would do in such a scenario.

PS:
Also no front locker, so in reality,.....a 4x3:confounded:, also not traction control enabled. Model year 2003 so just before these options began to appear.

Thanks for your feedback.
This is a little 4x4, with only 1455kg.
Don't have low gear, just Traction Control and little Tyres 215/65 r16, the only size allowed for this car here in Portugal.

This Traction Control makes "miracles" on this car.
