The rims on my Landcruiser are showing their age, I thought about buying new rims but just didn't want to spend the money. I used VHT Wheel Black Satin Wheel Paint. +IMG_0272.jpg IMG_0266.jpg IMG_0267.jpg IMG_0279.jpg So here are easy to follow instructions.

1. wash rims with soap and water
2. let dry
3.jack vehicle up and put on a jack stand so the rim will turn
4.wash again with Windex and paper towels
5.jack second tire up while allowing first to dry
6.start taping up tires
7.put valve stem at the bottom and start painting
8.rotate tire putting valve stem up top and finish painting
9.repeat and enjoy

That looks like a decent job. Wish l’d had the patience to do mine. Ended up getting them powder coated. With the salt on the roads over here it’s the only think that seems to last.

a quick trick I have used in the past to paint wheels is to use index cards between the rim and tire. I also like pulling them off so you can paint the barrel of the wheel as well. but those look awesome on your rig

Looks great!

I've added the extra step of cutting open a big trash bag and tucking it behind the wheel, and over the calipers and rotors. Takes all about an extra 2 minutes per wheel. I know some would say that a little bit of overspray amounts to nothing, but the piece of mind is worth it in my case.
