Janet and I took the road north from Usal Beach to Ferndale. Lots of pretty spots to view and camp along the way. None as nice as Usal Beach, but up toward Ferndale there are roadside spots right along the beach. The road gets a bit tight in spots, but we made it through with our Ford effn Ranger and trailer. There are a couple of good videos that hit the highpoints, but loads more, and nicer, "unofficial" spots along the way. We logged a couple into iOverlander.

It would be great if you could put those POI's onto the OB1 app as you are driving also. ;-)

Thanks, one thing we pride ourselves with is the accuracy of the tracks and POI's on the app. Unlike other apps all submittals are verified for accuracy.

I know it’s probably not the best place for this but I will still try.
Anybody out here with a 1gen xterra?
I have NGK spark plugs and NGK wire set brand new looking for a new owner.

If anyone knows anybody with 1st gen pass along I really need to find a new home for it, they been in my closet for way too long

8 days ago it was a little washed out but passable with some clearance / 4wd and careful navigation.
We did however advise a brandnew sprinter van to turn around due to offcamper / tree branches as he had small tires and high center of gravity.

Hi Everyone!

I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the potluck this Sunday, and I gotta say I feel honored people would be willing to come! Kelly has her last Sunday working at our church so we will be to the meeting a little late around 1pm or so.

Random question, I need to tow Kelly’s car behind my truck to Coeur D’Alene on October 15th, U-Haul let us know they aren’t sure they will have a dolly available. Anybody have a lead on one? One that’s very affordable? Haha

I am so glad you both starting lugging that trailer around with us! I’ll never forget watching you tackle that Eel river crossing on the Usal trip! That definitely showed me you weren’t playing around but going for it!

Quick Reminder to everybody our OCT meetup is this upcoming Sunday. We will start at NOON ( 1 hr earlier than normal ). The plan agenda is

NOON - QUICK BIZ
- we'll start with a few quick "Biz Items" so they are covered - @Kent R will be there for anybody that has questions about the Mojave TG event the weekend after

12:15 - COOK
- We'll set up and cook with the target to be ready to eat by approx 1pm. (I hear that someone is considering Mexican Deer and Taco Beef - HMMM)
- As this is a potluck and in the spirit of leaving no trace, please remember to bring some silverware/plate for yourself so we don't have to deal with paper and excessive cleanup.

1PM - POTLUCK & ROAST
- the guests of honor hopefully arrive
- we'll sample the food
- well and THEN the festivities shall start "thanking" @PapaDave and reflecting on the great time he brought to all of us.

Now I know a few of you will not be able to make it - if you have a special story to share please DM me with the details and I'll make sure it will be shared.
