Dressed up my FJ last week

So a few weeks ago I chose to get some new tires so I decided to complete the build I had dreamed of. I like the utilitarian look of the old stock FJ 40s and the Land Rover Defenders. My FJ already had a OME lift along with front and rear ARB bumpers. I always liked the look of the skinny tires so I chose to purchase some BFG Mud Tires in 255/75/17. This is one size skinner than stock but it is one size taller.

With five new tires in my garage I decided to paint the stock steel wheels grey like the old FJ 40s. I then replaced the center caps with a set from an 89 T-100. I then painted the grille white to complete the look.

As I stood back and admired my work I felt the rig needed a little more. I then purchased the ARB roof rack and added some Limb Risers to make it complete.

Here is a photo I took last week. I would love some feed back.

Thanks

I think it looks great! I'm a sucker for steelies myself. And I love the no-nonsense look!

Well Done very nice build, I just pulled the trigger on an ARB rack myself. Couldn't deal with the stock rack any longer.

Thanks all for the responses. Every time I look at my FJ it puts a huge smile on my face. I think a compressor is going to be the next item I'm going to install, along with a rear mounted light.

Love it! One look and you know this rig means business.

Nicely done!
