Welcome from Austin Tx. My response to your question, Yes. I had a friend that used a Ford Explorer (cheaper version of your vehicle). He took that vehicle everywhere. You may have some problems with some of the luxury elements, just because their is more to have problems with. This shouldn't stop you. Just get out and start your edventure!
Welcome. You should be fine with your vehicle. You should be aware of it's capabilities though. How are the trails in Mexico?
México has great off road routes, beginning with Baja California, thanks for your comment.
