Here is my 1997 Silverado K1500 that I'm building. It is used for a winter daily, overlander, tows my boat and car hauler.

I bought it 4 years ago with ~220k for $1500.

I just came into ownership of a 1999 Silverado and am planning to build it up into an overland weekend rig. What are your plans for yours?

I'm building it to be capable at towing, winter daily, and something I can sleep in while traveling. Is your truck the OBS style or NBS style?

Picked up a 14 bolt semi float rear axle from the junkyard. I'll be putting all new bearings and seals in at some time in the future. I'd like to also swap to rear discs and locker.

Found a nice set of 2017 Silverado 18x8.5 wheels with lug nuts on CL. Bolted right on.

My 1997 Silverado. I am glad to see some older trucks on here. It is a work in progress along with all my other projects. Just installed 4.10 gears F/R, Yukon axles and a Truetrac in the rear. I will be building an engine soon and rebuilding transmission and t/case. Not sure where I will go after that. Probably Start playing with one of my Jeeps.thumbnail (1).jpg
