I was planning on meeting at the gas station listed as the starting point on the Rally Point at 2pm Saturday and theoretically being off trail by 2pm Sunday. I'm also going to do a night outside of Gunnison on Friday in case you're interested and have some free time.

I'll be out there the 12th to 14th on my way to Expo West. I'd be happy to run Fins with ya, that one has been on the list for a while. I think I'm meeting another OB member out there at one point too! Are you headed out with a group?

Not as far as I'm aware. Canon City isn't under a fire ban and I can't find anything for OWF as well. I will check the day of to make sure we abide by the rules, but as of now I believe we're fine.

Yeah I saw that! I believe those are the conditions for the hiking and MTB trail systems though, not for the road in that area. Given the weather we're supposed to have in the next couple days I think it should dry out pretty quickly. The PM with meet details will go out a little later today...

That spot looks good to me and was one of the ones I was eyeing, so long as it's a designated site. Because this system is a first come, first served policy I don't have a site selected. If someone does plan on camping Friday night, it's totally fine if they want to choose a site in that area...

If you like to hike you can always do that! There's a decent trail system there, you'll probably just see a lot of bikers. If you do decide to go down early to scout camp, shoot me a PM so I can get an exact location when you get down there and pick a site. Also, you're more than welcome to...
