    Finding Overland Companions

My Son is a special needs teacher. That is what drew me to this channel. Perhaps start a thread in this channel and connect with others. I love the idea of strong networks. Perhaps this could be a catalyst for others to group up?

    Finding Overland Companions

My situation was similar to yours, whereas I wanted to meet other people locally who were interested in camping, overlanding and such. I used Overlandbound to look for local events and met several people. After meeting them, I vetted the people I wanted to go out with. My children are grown...

    Mission Overland

The rig did well on my past trip. This week's second short is our Mission Overland Trailer and what a muddy mess it became during our Custar trail exploration trip.https://youtube.com/shorts/jJqon_93hBk?feature=share

    Overlanding and CPAP

I am a long-time cpap user. Sleep with the tube in your sleeping bag, it solves the cold air problem. Also, CPAP should be flat but will work even if at an angle

A good tool to quickly air down your tires that wont break the bank.

I agree to remove the valve cores work well for airing up and down. My problem is I kept losing the valve cores. I did carry extra's, but the added stress was not worth it for me. The tool I mention does not weigh much and is compact. I believe if removing the valve cores works for you then...

A good tool to quickly air down your tires that wont break the bank.

I do airdown my trailer tires, especially when I am on a washboard, also, in snow or mud it helps. On washboard, it makes the road easier to travel, especially at any speed. It can be the difference of having a trailer that lasts or rattles apart. In mud and snow airing down increases the...

What is YOUR ultimate overland setup, and why?

I have been off-road and over landing for a long time. I have learned that simple is better. And for once, I am happy with my setup I have. My set up is reliable, dependable, capable and comfortable. That does not mean I wont to make incremental improvements. But I am content. Jeep...

12 volt Portable Air Compressor that works well and can fill a 35 inch tire quickly.

For those of you who have been thinking about a 12-volt portable air solution but an ARB breaks the bank, here is an alternative that has served me well.

    Best small propane firepit?

So far most I have used are reliable. The big difference is space. That is why I downscaled to a Tacicool. I carry a small wood fire pit, so carrying both a wood and a larger gas was a pain. So far I have not seen any problems, it is a simple design, and everything fits into the can. I...

    Best small propane firepit?

I have ran it for about 30 minutes and have about a half a can. I keep it low, I am sure if I crank it up it would burn through the can quickly.
