    Its Power Wagon Time

Congrats on the upsize! The Power Wagon is on my short list of wishes if I ever go to a full size rig, absolutely love the capability. Appreciate the truck being used as it was intended by the designers as well, have fun out there and stay safe!

    4Runner Owners Registry

So we found the lucky owner! I always wondered where Apollo ended up - what an amazing rig to own, really one of a kind with the history and story behind it. Congrats!

Just like the rest of you, can't wait! And yes, it does seem like release season for YouTube Overlanding shows... Mountain State Overland, BOLD Overland, etc...but can't complain at all about free content! These guys are out there living the dream, and I appreciate the fact they are giving...

    N-Fab side steps feedback?

The N-Fab side steps are more like rugged looking running boards than actual protection giving rock sliders. Like others have mentioned they could end up causing more damage Off Road if they get hung up and crunched against the rockers!

4Runner TRD Pro vs Rubicon Unlimited

The 5th gen 4Runner doesn't come in a manual transmission. Makes it an easy choice of you need to have one.

    InReach Explorer hahaha

Definitely been meaning to pick one of these up mainly for sos / sat com purposes, so t feel like I would need the GPS functions on a handheld. Is there a consensus best place to pick one up?

    Synthetic winch cable vs Steel

Couldn't agree more with Jeff- in this day and age it's all about synthetic. Infinitely more safe- especially when paired with a closed winching component system like the Factor 55 stuff. Not to mention the weight savings!

    Beginning the Adventure Life Style

Yeti and Yolo are quite the inspiration aren't they?! For starters I'd say the first and most important component to an adventure ready rig would be a good set of all-terrain tires. Once you have confidence there, they will take you even further than your confidence behind the wheel will...

    Communications for the Beginner

Just wanted to circle back here - Baofeng UV-5R vehicle to vehicle worked great, and especially so once we got out to the Trona Pinnacles area which was wide open. Excited to dive in and get licensed, having communications helped on the trip tremendously!

    Trona Pinnacles

Hey there! Thanks for the reply, we had to make it back a bit earlier than we planned - but the pinnacles were home to a great weekend of camping and disconnecting from the grid. Highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't visited before! We will be sure to make it to Alabama Hills and DVNP next...
