    12v fridge recommendations

My recommendation for North America would be Engle or ARB. Both are robust, reliable and efficient.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Today I modified a sliding pantry, 12V tv and slide out kitchen so that they are one unit and then installed it! This canopy is still a WIP but is coming along very well!

    Frankenstein's Kitchen

Hey all! I previously posted a thread after opinions on slide out kitchens and if I should ditch my King's sliding pantry for one. Well here's the outcome! I got the kitchen and kept the pantry! It took some modification but now I have tonnes of bench space and a functional sliding pantry...

Adding 121 lbs. (winch + mount) to my front end

A month is how long I waited after installing all the extra weight before pulling trigger.

    Battery management system

Depends on exactly what you want the system to accomplish. Basic, reliable lithium setup is going to be the best way to go. Rough list below: 100/120AH LiFPO4 Battery ($500-$1000 AUD) Battery Box ($60-$150 AUD) 25A DCDC Charger W/ MPPT Solar Input ($300-$500 AUD) Wiring etc ($100-$300...

    Help, I have Jeep envy

IFS dual cab utes, like your Colorado, dominate the Australian 4x4 industry. Jeeps aren't very popular here. In fact the number one sold vehicle in Australia is the Ford Ranger. Take it from us, unless you need the severe approach, departure and break over angles a Jeep provides, you're far...

You'll need springs rated for the new weight on the front end.

What's do you think the most impactful first upgrade is to a rig?

Training & First Aid are a given and probably should be options in this poll. Rule of thumb is to go from the bottom up. Tyres are the lowest thing on the car and thus should be first.

To slide out Kitchen or not to slide out kitchen

I currently have 400AH of lithium however in the past I got away with 200AH of lithium. To comfortably support the induction I would recommend at least 300AH.

To slide out Kitchen or not to slide out kitchen

Hello hello hello! Recently I have been haunted by the same debate in my head and I need some outside opinions! So I currently have a Kings sliding pantry in my canopy (the only person in the country to have one in their vehicle I might add, and who doesn't love a bit of exclusivity :wink...

    How would you start over?

I'd purchase the same 2016 Ford Ranger with the 3.2L 5cyl but this time around I'd start my modification process from the ground up and with much more focus on weight from the beginning.

    Redarc or ...?

If reliability above all else is what you want then Redarc or Victron is what you want. Out of the two I'm more inclined to Redarc as their equipment is generally less complex to install and the Australian made pride. In any case, the setup to get is a DCDC charger w/ solar input and an...

Stoves.... what are you cooking on?

I skipped gas altogether and opted for a portable induction cooktop powered by 400ah of LiFPO4 batteries. Quick, efficient and lightweight. Personally if I was going to cook with gas as opposed to the induction, it would only be with a BBQ/Grill.
