I have been working on building a CNC plasma table, for the last several years.
Couple of pictures to show the style and scale of that build, Because I sure there is someone who is interested.
well today I finally put this long term project to work making something useful I was in need...
After picking up an Iceco vl45 on there black Friday sale, I finally decided it was time to break down and finish the "battery ina'box" that I had been using. Last year sometime I had picked up a Victron Mppt solar charge controller and some other parts. but it was a low priority project and I...
Made a set of brackets to mount a small solar panel to my roof rack
I started with some.1.5"x1.5" aluminum angle that I sliced up into 2" pieces. Mounting holes where then drilled.
The parts where powder coated matte black to match the roof rack.
T
little housing I designed to mount some cheap RGBW rock lights to the side of my roof rack from upTOP Overland.
I want the option for white light, or amber for bug control, and possibly red or green depending on the situation, and the system they have does not yet meet that need of mine...
My motto has long been why buy when you can build it.
After I first saw a video on the Quick-en-Suite, I KNEW this was the perfect solution for our needs. then I saw the price....
So I did some digging around and found some DIY versions. So I watch some videos, and picked up a set of fairly...
Came across an interesting video for a DIY Awning. I have been wanting one, and being a the type who rather build than buy, well you can guess what happen.

Some random pictures from the build process.

I still need...

So over the years we tried a few variations, The Zodi, was a breakthrough. and when we saw...
I drew up a little mounting tab. these will be used with the 80/20 extrusion on the rack(s), to help secure zip ties for bundling future wiring for both my roof rack and the bed rack.
they will be laser cut from 18 gauge (.040) Aluminum
Did a rough cardboard mockup of the zip tie tabs. but...
A little something I put together for the front of the truck bed.
Back from the laser cutter, from design to reality less than 6 days
Had to slot the mounting holes since My measurements was off by about 1 cm. I also updated the cad model to put a bit of a radius in at the bottom corners
Airing down tires for traction is an old trick that is used by many looking to gain traction. Airing down each tire on its own, and then airing it back up can be faster with a 4 way setup.
I recently made this setup based on the following video.
with a slight change, I made the Gauge and...
This thread is to document the build that someday may happen to my new 2019 Toyota Tacoma ORD Offroad 4x4. I retired the Cherokee recently after it hit 301,000 miles, not because it was not reliable, but it does need a new exhaust and power steering pump. and It is time for it to get some work...
