Sources and Style for Roof-top storage cases/boxes

I discovered that my email went to a send-only address, so I was in a chat yesterday with Academy Sports. No problem at all, they'll send out a pair of replacement wheels to me. Today I got a call from them. No replacement wheels available. Would it be OK if they sent me an entire new case...

    Traveling for the Holidays

@Lars Our recent travels across the country focused on finding out of the way places to visit. Not necessarily on unpaved roads, but off the beaten path. In fact, we were only off pavement about 40 miles out of 7700+. Our only interstate driving, though, was from here in Ohio directly to Seattle...

Thanks! No mounts come with the awning. Only the fasteners. I went a somewhat expensive route mounting my ARB awning to the Yakima LoadWarrior. I use a pair of Fourtreks Modular Awning Mounts (The other pair are for my 32" LED light bar) http://fourtreks.com/modular_awning_mounts.html You are...

    Plano Cases

(cross-posting in both Plano threads) Three Plano Model 1819 Sportsman Storage Lockers arrived today. They fit perfectly in my Yakima LoadWarrior with the 18" extension. One of the cases was missing both wheels, so I sent off an email to Academy Sports asking for replacements...

Overlanding Basics – Spontaneity & the Great Outdoors

What a well-written article, @CorrieOB Our Plano 1819 boxes are due to arrive today, and we still have most of our trip stuff scattered about. I'll be organizing better, and use some of your suggestions. Thanks!

That looks wonderful! I could live permanently in a place like that (after a few comforts were added.)

Sorry, my tongue was shoved firmly in my cheek when I suggested selling the straps. I should have put a wink instead of a smiley.

    Steve & Deb's Cross-Country Adventure

We took this with us on our trip to use in photos to tag with ‪#‎overlandbound‬. We just found it while putting stuff away... We took so much a) stuff we didn't use, or b) stuff we wanted and couldn't find. We need a much better organization method! Clothes I took but didn't wear. Mostly warm...

    Family Overlanding

I'm so glad I missed this delightful pleasure! ;) (However, I was well-versed in every song from the Little Mermaid soundtrack way back when...) We kept two two-gallon tuckerware tubs in the back of the wagon or pickup when we were family camping/travelling. Our daughters were nine years apart...

And we saw a wide variety of critters, as well. bison, grizzly bear, moose, elk, white-tailed deer, black-tailed deer, mule deer, bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, coyote, red fox, prairie dog, river otter, sea otter, seals, sea lions, gray whale, bald eagle, golden eagle, and any number of...

    Steve & Deb's Cross-Country Adventure

Fog seemed to be the theme in several photographs. Our day in the Badlands started so foggy that we couldn't see the walkway to the overlook from the parking lot. It cleared during the day, but the Badlands was very hard to photograph in low contrast lighting due to the low contrast views. Fog...
