That is my main concern. Even if the 2 vehicles are on a level plane the odds of 1 of those vehicles shifting enough to allow the strap to rub on the inside of the receiver lip is high.

The Canyon and some models of Colorado come with 2 tow hooks up front which I'm thankful for. For the rear I use a hitch receiver and d ring like shown in the video.

Well I finally got to use my Maxsa boards yesterday and they worked perfectly once got them positioned correctly. No damage from the heavy diesel rig either despite a little wheelspin.

1. Big heavy trucks are terrible in snow
2. Always carry proper recovery gear
3. Buy a quality air compressor with a 20min+ run time
4. The Falken Wildpeak A/T3W and our trucks are pretty capable in snow
5. Airing down the tires is a VERY good idea, especially for heavy rigs

The more you lean towards hard core off-road and pure overlanding I'd say the Jeep. It's super capable, can easily house much larger tires and the aftermarket options are vast including interior gadgets like tablet holders, dash organization modules etc.

I would venture to say the Bison due to the longer wheelbase and those amazing Multimatic shocks. However, you're not limited to them if you should later decide you need even more capability. Baja Kits makes a pre-runner kit for the ZR2 now.
