Like mentioned above if all you're really needing ground clearance then a leveling kit (coil spacers)from companies like Rough Country will work fine. What you really need are larger diameter tires. A simple 2"-2.5" spacer kit and some taller tires will really help. I don't know what the max...
Nice!
My setup is pretty modular as well. Everything unbolts fairly easily to accomodate work or mountain biking needs. You don't need a ton of stuff so just choose your accessories wisely and have fun exploring. :)
Using it for work as usual. I had to spray our trails. This time I had my ebike to speed up return trips for more herbicide. :)
My Preserves are sooo green right now! Had to snap a few photos.
Generally speaking it is not normally that low. Average mpg with a full camping load for me is 17mpg-20mpg depending on how much off-roading I do. If I stick to pavement then a tank will be about 19-22mpg and a fillup will be needed at 300-360 miles. This is loaded up, lifted and on 33s. I tend...
Had some fun scouting an alternate road to my favorite offroading area near Bowman Lake.
The ruts were up to 16" deep and things start to go really wrong when you end up with a tire on the wrong side of the rut and a steep slope on one side.... Heheh
Otherwise I spent most of the time acting...
I wanted to try and illustrate why I use LEDs in the OEM fog lights despite the poor amount of forward lighting they generally provide.
My neighborhood is very hilly, curvy and thickly wooded. We have a huge population of deer and they regularly cross the street or even mill about in the...
I replaced my reverse light bulbs with JDM Astar LEDs. They are much brighter than the stock bulbs.
I also swapped my the white JDM Astar LEDs I had in the fog lights for yellow LEDs. My hope is they will provide better light in wet conditions, fog and dusty trails. They provide just as much...
Go drive them both and see which one puts the biggest smile on your face. Drive the V6 ZR2 also. There is a HUGE difference in acceleration between the two. Fuel range vs. speed. Cost to own is cheaper on the V6 until around 100k miles where the diesel takes over (mileage will vary based on...
For me it was about reducing glare in wet weather and snow. Too much white foreground light also hurts distance night vision and may be uncomfortable to some drivers. It is kinda harsh. The yellow lights tone things down and I can still see deer just as well as with the white lights.
Nice! I'm cheap so I just replaced my white JDM Astar LEDs with yellow. I mainly just need them to illuminate deer on the side of the road in my neighborhood. Eventually I'll spring for ditch lights and those Morimotos.
Ohh man. Holding the cell phone with 1 hand and steering with the other. You don't know how bad I wanted to swipe the wiper lever to speed them up. Well, you watched the video so maybe you do. :tonguewink:
You have a lot of great advice above so I'll just add, get yourself and or your wife a nice large rectangluar 0F or -35F sleeping bag like the Teton Sports Deer Hunter bag. If you end up in truly freezing temps the child may not generate enough heat on his own to stay warm. That happened to my...
