Redbird SRA in Dugger, Indiana meetup and trail run

I've been lucky. I had my WRX for 13 years with one door ding, and my Outback for 8 years with no door dings.

Redbird SRA in Dugger, Indiana meetup and trail run

*IF* I go, Google Maps says it is 408 miles there. That means when I arrive, my vehicle will have around 500 miles on the odometer. I ain't gettin' it scratched up yet!

    Cheaper substitute for Maxtraxx?

Those stack well together. I could store those on the bottom side of my basket running left to right. Hmmmm...

    Cheaper substitute for Maxtraxx?

I've seen those recommended elsewhere, as well as the old surplus versions sometimes available. Have you had any occasion to try them with snow or mud? I can see how they would be good in sand, but look like they are too slick for snow/mud. The perforations have the sharp side down, so that...

    Yakima or ?

Welcome to Overland Bound, @ce4460 I don't have a truck, so I don't have any information for you on mounting to a truck cap. In addition to th fiberglass caps, there are also aluminum framed caps that may have more long-term strength. I do have a Yakima LoadWarrior basket, though, and I have...

The Circus That Was My First Overland Trip *PIC HEAVY*

Wonderful photos, and quite an adventure! Having had the circus, as you called it, only made the trip more memorable. And taught some lessons for the next time. When we were there last September, we'd taken the ferry from north of Seattle to the south end of Whidbey island twice (once in the...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Our daughter in Seattle has been ham mocking with friends, so we gave her one of her own for her birthday. It was only a high of 40° here today, but we had to hang it out back and give it a try. Wow, was that comfy! I liked it enough that I just ordered one for me. This color From JB's...

Member Introductions *NEW MEMBERS INTRODUCE YOURSELF*

Welcome @suburban2012 I looked at a used Suburban just a few weeks ago as a cross-country exploration vehicle. They seem like a n excellent choice for folks like me not looking to hit the narrow twisty trails but more for exploring forest roads. It would be ideal for an Alaska trip! Tell us...

Tutorial on how to set a badge on display under your name/avatar

Yep, I uncheck them and now have the button to change the featured badge. ( I edited my above post to clarify that.) But when I poke it, it goes to the window to change it, but doesn't do anything. I try to remove the featured badge and it doesn't. I try to feature a different badge, but it doesn't.

Tutorial on how to set a badge on display under your name/avatar

@administrator Nope. I now have the button, but it doesn't let me change anything. I can't remove my existing badge, nor change to a different one. Mine happens to show my highest earned badge anyway, so no big deal. These haven't changed in a few months, so it doesn't make a difference to me...
