Hey all, I recently moved to the Bulkley Valley from the LMD, and now with the snow melting and the sun shining, I'm very keen to get out in the mountains again. Any members up this way?
Also, never ever EVER recover from a stuck situation using a tow ball. It will quickly become a cannon ball - they are not designed for any sort of shock loading. Gruesome story, but a good object lesson in what never to do. Thanks for sharing.
Nicely fabbed up; looks very solid. Having said that, I'm a big advocate of carrying your gun on your person at all times. If you ever do need it, it's useless sitting in your vehicle holster or locked in the center console. Just my .02.
Fun factor is huge. I've taken lots of first timers to the range, some that were even a bit skittish of guns in general, and without exception they always have an awesome time and come away with a positive view of firearms.
Don't lump all of us Canucks into one group. I'm Canadian and I 100% support lawful firearms ownership including concealed carry. I would like to see it brought back to Canada. Yes, believe it or not, concealed carry was both legal and somewhat common in Canada before the 1930's.
Also, the OP...
Obviously things are a bit different in Canada, but when I'm out in the bush camped out, I somewhat keep the gun on the DL. It's perfectly legal to have a non-restricted firearm on crown land for target shooting or wildlife defense, of course, but especially these days I don't trust that some...
Very true. Many objects can be deadly weapons in the hands of the right person, and in fact, at least in Canada, the most common murder weapons are knives, fists and cordage of some kind or other.
Well hallelujah for that. It seemed like you were still trying to justify yourself. I apologize if I misunderstood.
My post nevertheless has some important facts for anyone following the thread, so I'll leave it there.
Incidentally, if you want any suggestions on what firearms to carry in the...
So you don't live in fear, and yet you want to take away hundreds of thousands of guns that have never been used in crimes away from people who are more law abiding than the police (proven statistical fact) because you are afraid of some nut job going on a killing spree... and yet somehow...
There is something deeply wrong with the moral fabric of any society that would try to do that to someone for defending themselves or another person from violent crime. I agree with your sentiment, but the fact that a person should face prison for exercising their fundamental, inherent right to...
So if someone steals your car and uses it in a crime, you're the one to blame and we should be coming after you as a society? Wow that sure makes sense.
As for your comment about a "50 caliber air gun," I've never seen or heard of one, but I can tell you that if such a unicorn had more muzzle...
Most pump shotguns have a capacity of 5-7 rounds in their tubular magazines. I expect if the OP found himself facing down a furious charging grizzly intent on ripping his face off, or got stalked by a cougar or a ravenous pack of wolves, he might quickly be singing a different tune. The level of...
