Starvation Lake, Utah. On our way to Colorado. A quick overnight stop, but certainly long enough to enjoy a beer and make some tasty taco's.
Heading up Mineral Creek Trail from Ouray. We overnighted in this epic spot before continuing up and over Engineer Pass first thing the next morning...
While I'm not technically in the area, I live in Penticton BC - South Okanagan Valley (Hwy #97) about 30 miles north of the border. We spend a lot of time exploring, and adventuring in the area just to the south of us. Wenatchee (for instance) is a 3 hour drive from our home.
So I am looking to purchase a permanent CB antenna and trying to figure the best options for mounting location, given the rooftop tent. I would like to get a Firestik style antenna, maybe with the added spring which seems to be recommended a lot, and would like to mount it at the rear if at all...
The Sea Hag in Depoe Bay, best clam chowder on the planet. Look for Nana's Irish Pub in the Nye Beach area of Newport, try the meatloaf you won't be disappointed. And across the street is Stephanie's Cafe, a great place for breakfast. ( we travel to eat if you haven't already figured)
The Drift...
We just returned from a two week 6000km road trip - adventure from here in BC to Colorado and back. We visited 7 states, camped in the middle of nowhere, camped in proper campgrounds, moteled it once, saw a ton of sights, experienced Engineer Pass first thing in the morning, saw The Devils...
I have two Scepter MFC's and one MWC. I just like the idea of the added security of having the extra fuel ( and water) at hand. We just returned from a two and a half week road trip- adventure from BC down to Colorado and back. I did not have to rely on my spare fuel but it certainly allowed the...
We had a TJ which was fun, but just lacked the room and power to tow anything of substance. When looking for a replacement I seemed to have settled on the Xterra. I like the platform, chunky truck look, body on frame design, and a motor with gobs of power. The wife liked the utilitarian cargo...
I picked up a Cobra 19 Dx IV CB radio and a magnetic mount antenna (for now) for our upcoming Colorado bound trip. I'll have to find somewhere to mount the CB on Saturday, then I can relive my youth while playing Smokey and the Bandit all by myself in the drivers seat.
I also mounted some led...
This guy greeted us on the Old Cascade Highway near Rossland this past weekend. Sat still and watched us drive closer and closer, then finally split. I love having the chance to see wildlife, really puts some perspective on our place in the whole scheme of things.
I have a portable panel setup, so I can use it with the Xterra or our travel trailer. I bought two 75 watt Coleman panels from Canadian Tire and two of their 30amp controllers. I have a controller permanently mounted in the X, and one in the trailer. I have a line running to the grille on my X...
I guess I should do a better job of keeping up to date.
This is how she is sitting now, all ready for adventure.
I completed the dual battery setup, with the T-Max controller and a pair of Deka Intimidators. I also made up a portable solar system with two separate 75 watt panels connected...
A room for two (plus two canines) with a view. Our first real camping trip with the new RTT setup. Looking down at our beautiful Similkameen River Valley.
My Wife and I rode our motorbikes down from BC years ago, and rode the Lost Coast. It was amazing, totally awestruck the entire time. I'd love to go back sometime.
Great pictures.
I don't have any from our adventures, but I have a couple I took at our last home a few years ago.

And "two doors down" beside our place:
This is great. Added a bunch more IG accounts to follow. Problem is every time I see a great new rig picture it makes me feel the need to spend more money, dang it. And I love seeing pictures from the different and interesting places you all live and explore around. Very cool.

I found this in a local online classified for $25. I do not think it was ever really used, it came in the original box. Made in Canada and I think it dates from the mid-60's. I replaced the pump seal and the tank o-ring and it works great.
