The snow is finally receding in the higher elevations here. I will take my Bantam on it’s maiden voyage next weekend, hopefully. Time got away from me this year, I usually have a plan where we’re going.
I run a Larsen 2/70 on my trail rack with a firestick cb antenna on the other side. The antennas are over 3’ apart, so they do not interfere with each other, and my SWR readings are below 2.
I also have a icom 5100, it’s an awesome radio!
My limb risers are a lot like yours, but maybe even closer to the hood. On this particular trip, we got a lot of pinstripes. The risers worked great, and never touched the hood.
We will take tons of pictures to share. I, myself, do not plan on sharing them here. I will let whoever that helps with the cleanup that wants to post on Overland Bound. I’m not in this for the recognition or coins or patches. I’m in this to give back to the outdoors that I love.
If you don’t...
I am a member of the BRC and TreadLightly. Years ago Del Albright and I talked about an auction to raise funds. This was well before eBay. Does the BRC still raise funds that way?
I have proposed to clubs in my area about joining, and I would like to become a Tread Trainer. Tomorrow I start...
I recently started conversation with the Kettle Falls Ranger District in the Colville National Forest. In the next week I hope set a date to clean up the Huckleberry Jeep Trail. I have a trailer that can be used to haul trash. I plan on making a weekend out of it. Who’s interested in helping?
I have mine mounted on my drivers side windshield pillar. I used a smaller speaker and the pillar completely covers it so the speaker isn’t in my line of sight. Does that make sense?
First, I don’t believe you should have to justify not buying maxtrax. I get why you said what you did though.
I mounted my mats between my spare and trasharoo. I used some square tube and angle iron. I had a spare tire license plate mount laying around that I welded in. I don’t have the tent...
There is no way I will be one of the first two rigs. lol! Unless I happen to be going by on my way home. But then I’ll probably be oversize.
I’m going to install my new radio today! It should be operational for next weekend.
