Resolved Things seem to be breaking

Echoing the strange CSS issue with the float on the search / social media section in the lower left. Also, it looks like clicking the navigation strait to the forum seems to not work properly at the moment.

    2006 Jeep Commander (XK) Build

Thanks, I hope to have time to get some more done on it this weekend. At the very least, I hope to pull the rack off, and get all the lights bolted down. It'd be even better if I get all the wire pulled for it!

    Resolved profile, messages and such

As a work around, you can click the "Edit Profile" link in the upper right, or lower left corner of the page. I shows your messages and notifications in there. Not as convenient, but it'll get you to your messages until the top status bar returns.

    Josh's Trips

Not a lot of exploring, but slowdowns in SAR training leaves some time to stop and grab some pictures. Google Story: https://goo.gl/photos/KhgSSP22dDq2y1co6

Resolved How to edit existing posts

Hi Michael, What Steve pointed out seems to be true.  When I posted a reply, I was able to see the edit button, but after a short while, it does disappear, and I can't edit the post any longer. I double checked on OS X, 10.10 using Chrome and Safari, 10.7 using Chrome and Safari, and Windows...

    2006 Jeep Commander (XK) Build

Thanks! I'll be building it.  I'm waiting to get my new SAR radio issued to me so that I can make sure the vertical height is going to fit to hold it mounted longest side vertical.  Might as well make it fit as much as I can!

Resolved How to edit existing posts

Hello all, I was wondering if there was a way to edit posts after they've been created.  I realized that it wasn't obvious (to me) when I when to update the "build thread" for my Jeep.  http://overlandbound.com/forums/topic/jeep-xk-overland-and-sar-build/#post-17002 Is there something I'm...

BFG 265/70R17 T/A KO2 New shoes installed...  There's minor rubbing on the plastic interior that covers the pinch weld.  I probably don't have cut it and bend it over, but I likely will to be sure.

Garvin Roof Rack installation Where the front of the rack is mounted is about 3 inches wider than the rear of the Jeep, so unless you realize this, you might try to figure out why the brackets don't line up with the rack... Originally I was going to get another Gobi.  I had one on my Grand...

    2006 Jeep Commander (XK) Build

I gutted the unneeded bits behind the second row and built a foundation for the drawer system. Yes, it's clearly way overbuilt, but total dollars to get here was 0.  (all scrap from different household projects) Stripped out the seats, and jack and lug wrench shelf... This is where the...

    LED Suggestions

I had Rigids on my my Gobi roof rack for a long time.  They're fantastic.  I'm probably moving them to the Commander project if I don't sell them with the roof rack. I also have VisionX lights, and many people in my SAR unit have them.  They are also great lights. The VisionX seem to be...

That's one of the main reasons I went with the XK.  That and the HEMI. I've already gutted the cargo area.  I'm building a pair of custom drawers for it, and a cubby between it and the rear seats to store all my relay's and radios. (HAM, VHF High Band for SAR, and maybe a CB)

Hello everyone,  I've been lurking around the site for a while and finally decided to sign up and introduce myself (and my rigs) About a year ago I needed to get rid of my 2008 Grand Cherokee for something that had better gas mileage for work.  Not wanting to get to far away from my need to...
